My grandfather is 100 years old. He lives in Russia. He survived the first world war, Lenin, deportation, the second world war, the cold war, Stalin, perestroika and Putin. The stories from his life inspired me to make a short film ”The Russian Desk”, about dreams, art sprung from pain, broken illusions, political repression and homophobia. And all this flickers by in two minutes…
